Center “Chovekolubie” at a conference in Sofia

On June 5, 2019 representatives of the Center “Chovekolubie” attend a final conference in Sofia on the international project “The martial arts as tool towardst inclusion”, co-funded under the Erasmus + program of the European Union. The Initiative is by the Marie Curie Association – MCA / Plovdiv, Bulgaria / – a non-governmental organization working for social integration and professional realization of people with disabilities.

Participants have been the opportunity to get acquainted with the results of the project, realized in partnership with organizations from Belgium, Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria. An emphasis was placed on the application of martial arts as a means of education and social inclusion of children and adults with disabilities. Good practices and innovations have been shared – introducing martial arts into a school with pupils in unequal social status, training people with special needs, online training, etc. The participants were impressed by the demonstrations of adapted martial arts techniques.

Representatives of the Center “Chovekolubie” exchanged experience with the organizers of the project and discussed opportunities for the future partnerships.
